About the Community

Grand Junction sits at the epicenter of Colorado’s Grand Valley, a stunningly beautiful and naturally diverse area on the state’s western slope. The valley is anchored by Fruita to the west, a mountain-biking mecca and top-ranked adventure town. To the east, you’ll find picturesque Palisade, famous for its peaches and vineyards.

Just four hours from Denver and Salt Lake City, Utah, Grand Junction is also the largest metro between the two, with a population of 150,000 and serving approximately half a million people across the Mountain West region. The area’s outstanding outdoor amenities are complemented with a diversified and skilled workforce, a progressive education system, leading regional healthcare, robust transportation infrastructure and digital connectivity.

The Union Pacific Railroad runs two lines on its Western Corridor right through the city, along with two major highway corridors—Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 50. Additionally, there is a brand-new transload facility in Grand Junction and over 100 trucking or freight operations in the area helping ease the challenges of road-based distribution.
